About Us
Based in Nottingham, we are a husband and wife team, who, through a love of good design have created a range of upcycled retro standard lamps.
Each lampstand is individually handcrafted and is unique - there are no two the same!

We offer a wonderful range of glossy colours, 109 in total and can be selected to compliment your home. These once drab pieces of 20th century furniture are brought bang up to date and offer you a great addition to your home.
No light fitting would be complete without a shade, which we also make. We source original, authentic retro fabric from the 1950s, 60s and 70s to complete a successful look that is " modern vintage".
The Age of Upcycling has Landed!
Indeed it has!
We love a new buzz word and this one has resonated with us, along with lots of people - "Upcycling". Let's face it, we've all been doing it for years, except we've known it as one of the following: renovating, refurbishing, "doing it up", titivating; this time round in the age of the conscientious shopper, some of us are quite mindful of the source of our goods and the impact it has had on the enviroment to furnish our homes, making us feel great or not so good. "Upcycled" goods quenches that uncertain thirst for old things made new, reducing adverse affects on the planet.
According to the web, Upcycling has been around for years and the term was first noted in 1994 and has only recently picked up on my radar. Never mind, now I know.
Here at Ade & Viv HQ we've long been advocates of embracing the old into the new and putting money where our mouths are, we're busy working on first upcycled collection. It's not ready to launch yet, but it will be soon. As you'd expect we are a bit excited about our idea and creation and we hope you'll like what we've done.
